Is your conservatory too hot in the summer? Too cold in the winter? Noisy when it rains? Too bright? Difficult to keep clean? Make it a fit for purpose room all year round by converting your conservatory roof using lightweight, strong aluminium tiles externally.

Within a week your conservatory can be transformed into a comfortable, more useable room without interfering with the existing structure of your conservatory.

Conversion Company offer two conservatory conversion options. Warmroof is a service that converts your existing polycarbonate roof by wrapping over and under your existing roof. Our Supalite product consists of removing and replacing your full existing conservatory roof. Both products are fantastic ways to improve the use of your existing conservatory.

Warmroof conversion explained

The Warmroof conversion is the simplest and quickest of the two services offered. Warmroof system includes installing Extralight tiles on top of your existing polycarbonate roof, this is done after a visual diagnostic revealing any leaks, damaged areas or aspects of the structure which require attention. Internally a Superquilt is installed at the core of your thermal roof structure. Your internal roof is then finished in a choice of either plaster or a UPVC finish with new lighting

If you want to know how efficient a building is in terms of retaining heat you have to look at its “U” value, also known as the overall heat transfer coefficient. The better the building is insulated, the lower the “U” value. The u-values for standard polycarbonate and glazed roofs are very high. This is why most conservatories are uncomfortably hot in the summer, when solar heat is conducted into the room, and cold in the winter, when all the heat disappears up outside. But a conservatory with the Warmroof Conservatory Roof system has a low “U” value; so it will be cooler when it is warm outside, and retains heat during the winter. The Warmroof System reduces the average “U” value from 1.41 w/km2 to 0.26 w/km2.

We achieve this stunning result using a lightweight 28 mm high performance composite insulation made up of 19 layers of reflective and insulating materials. Cross ventilation prevents condensation, or “sweating”, of the structure.  The customer can then apply a decorative finish to complete the installation. No alteration is made to the existing conservatory roof or to its vaulted profile and only a minor 50mm (approx) reduction in headroom is incurred.

The system works using a combination of Warmroofs insulating materials, which in the case of our thermo board has been developed by Conversion Company in conjunction with a leading insulation manufacturer specifically for use within our system and to help give it the superb market leading insulation values.

Conservatory Roof Tile Information

The Supalite and Warmroof roof systems are both installed with Extralight roof tiles. The tiles used are made of a steel base with a natural stone finish and an acrylic overgraze. They come with a choice of tile colours. The unique colours have been selected to best reflect the existing UK housing stock and the 35% additional base coat allows for the use of a superior stone grit with unparalleled year round weather performance.

All of ExtraLight’s roofing products are fabricated from Zincalume® protected steel. ExtraLight’s textured finish provides added protection by embedding natural stone granules in an acrylic base-coat. A final clear acrylic over-glaze is applied before being oven cured. This extremely durable UV-resistant coating enables our roofing products to withstand the harshest conditions. Independent test reports, appraisals and field results confirm our products are 100% waterproof, fire resistant and able to withstand hurricane-force winds of up to 120mph. An ExtraLight roof will not only safeguard your investment but will also give you complete peace of mind. You will not find a more durable, versatile and attractive roofing product on the world market that will surpass ExtraLight’s quality and affordability.

The ExtraLight roof shingle is fully LABC registered and compliant with the strict standards required for use with a roof pitch as low as 10 degrees.

Hedgehog System

Your roof conversion will installed with a hedgehog gutter brush in your gutter system.

The Hedgehog Gutter Brush is manufactured using a stainless steel wire core and polypropylene bristles to create a long lasting Hedgehog brush that allows rainwater water to flow freely whilst acting as a barrier for leaves and debris, stopping it from clogging up in the gutter channel.
